Chicago Faucets ordered a new LPDC machine type 1001
Our customer Chicago Faucets ordered in August 2016 a new Low-pressure die casting machine type 1001 for the extension of their professional casting line in Milwaukee, USA. This machine will replace an old system and will, together with the LPDC machine type 1011 delivered by Induga in 2013, expand the capacity of the faucet manufacturing facilities. The LPDC machine type 1001 will be equipped with a 150 kW induction furnace and an automatic furnace charging system.
The machine will be delivered in January and the start-up is planned for end of February 2017.
The Chicago Faucets company employs over 500 people in operations located in Des Plaines/Illinois, Milwaukee/Wisconsin, Michigan City/Indiana and Elyria/Ohio. It is one of only a few companies that still produce permanent mold, yellow brass castings in the US. In addition to standard castings, Chicago Faucets produces ECAST faucets, a line of durable, high-quality faucets and fittings that are designed and manufactured with 0.25% or less total lead content by weighted average. Since 2002, Chicago Faucet is part of the Geberit Group a 125 year-old company headquartered in Jona/Switzerland and is a European market leader and global provider in the area of plumbing technology.
